The issue could be the result of numerous issues.

I suggest the following

Find a web page to which you know you have issues with the pictures being displayed. The normal is to see pictures represented as an red cross.

Now refresh the page and see if this help resolve the issue.

If after a refresh and the images have yet to show you might consider downloading the latest

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 to viewing myspace, try downloading Firefox and see if it makes any difference. Vista is still unstable especially with the web standards so it will take time to fi all the bugs in it.

yeah I have Vista also, welcome to the land of many unanswered questions because everyone is so unfamiliar with vista. Any how if I were you I would go to the control panel, check if your firewall is blocking or go to your audio video settings check if that is set right. You probably will find your answer in the control panel ,as there is so many settings to mess with. Or check your media center.

I would check to make sure you have Java and Flash installed in case those pictures are one of those slide show things.
